The Accuracy Check: is what AI says about you true?

Why accuracy comes first

Being named with the wrong facts can be worse than not being named. A buyer who is told you cover something you don't, serve a market you have left, or hold a licence you don't will find out at the worst moment. For insurers, financial firms and other regulated businesses, a wrong answer about cover or eligibility is a conduct risk, not a marketing problem.

How the check works

  • We collect every answer that names you across the question set.
  • An AI judge compares each statement with your approved fact register and records whether it matches, contradicts it, or covers something the register does not.
  • A person reviews every Critical and Major finding before it reaches you.
  • Each finding is linked to the sources the answer relied on, so the fix goes to the right place.

What happens to a finding

If the wrong fact comes from your own site, the source gets a Fix action. If it comes from someone else's page, it gets a Correct action: a correction request with evidence, logged and re-checked in 30 days. If AI states something your register does not cover, the gap becomes a new fact line for approval.

What it needs from you

An approved fact register. We draft it from your own site and documents at onboarding, and your approver signs it off. Without approved facts, the check can only flag statements that are plainly wrong on their face.

Across 300 answers that name Tidewell, the Accuracy Check finds 14 statements that contradict the register. Two are Critical: three answers say Tidewell's cyber cover includes ransom payments, which its policy excludes, and two say it serves Malaysian SMEs, a market it left last year. Both trace back to an old comparison article and an outdated partner page. Both get Correct actions, compliance is told the same day, and the re-check 30 days later finds the cover error gone from two of the three answers.

Frequently asked questions

Can you check accuracy without a fact register?

Partly. Without approved facts we can only flag statements that are plainly wrong. With a register, every statement is judged against what you have signed off, and the result holds up in a compliance review.

Does an AI decide what is wrong?

An AI judge does the first pass across hundreds of answers. A person reviews every Critical and Major finding before it is reported.

How often is accuracy checked?

On every measurement, and in the quarterly audit. A product launch, a change in commercial conditions, a new market or a regulatory change triggers an extra check.
